When using the bardic music ability inspire courage with a percussion instrument, the bonus to saves against fear and charm effects as well as attack and damage rolls is increased by +2. Furthermore, deaf allies (or allies unable to hear) can be affected. When using any bardic music ability, a deaf bard with this feat does not suffer from the 20% spell failure chance as long the instrument played is a percussion instrument.
